City & Guilds of London Art School
The City & Guilds of London Art School is an independent, fee paying art school with a strong craft base.
Located in a fine Georgian terrace in Kennington, SE London, the School is equipped with large purpose-built painting and sculpture studios. Conservation and wood-carving students are located in smaller, more intimate studios located in the terrace and stone-carving students have their own stone yard and workshop space.
The School has around two hundred students, most of whom are full time. There is a very high staff : student ratio (around 1:12) and classes are small. It has recently gained degree status in both Fine Art and Conservation studies, in addition to its long established Graduateship and Post-Graduate Diploma courses. A one-year full-time and two years part-time MA Fine Art course has also been validated.
