Robert Hooke was a scientific collaborator with Sir Christopher Wren but never given the same recognition. Now this has been redressed with memorials in Westminster Abbey and near The Monument in the City of London.
Hoares Bank Restauration - C. Hoare & Co. is the sole survivor of the private deposit banks established in the 17th and 18th Centuries. Their premises in Fleet Street, London, were rebuilt in 1829. This article describes the restoration of the facade in 2006.
Chiswick House was built between 1726 and 1729 by Richard Boyle, Third Earl of Burlington. The Fifth Earl expanded the house by adding substantial wings. This article describes its development and the symbolism incorporated into its design.
